The Class V to Class IV/III Receiver Adapter is commonly used to convert your 2-1/2 in. receiver opening into a 2 in. receiver opening. This adapter allows you to use 2 in. hitch mounted accessories with a 2-1/2 in. hitch receiver. It is ideal for bike racks, cargo carriers and other trailer accessories. Using this adapter will reduce the tongue weight capacity of your hitch by 50 percent. Do not use this hitch adapter in towing applications. Made of durable, heavy-duty steel construction with a black powder coat finish that is corrosion-resistant to withstand extreme weather.
